We live in a complex world of relationships and responsibilities. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed. We might experience persistent low mood or anxiety, developing patterns of thinking that interfere with relationships, interrupt sleep or disrupt our ability to work effectively. Perhaps we develop irrational fears which adversely affect our lives,. Maybe we self-medicate with alcohol or drugs, developing addictions which we maintain in an initially soothing, but ultimately destructive loop of reliance.
How we construct the world and our habitual pattern of thinking may result in distortions that cause a ‘disconnect’ which we, by ourselves, cannot identify and thus struggle to resolve. These problems-in-living can arise from underlying issues both inside and outside our conscious awareness.
Georgina was a registered representative of the London Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch in the 1980s. She later trained in Special Educational Needs and Learning Support, working with children and teenagers with behavioural, emotional, social and developmental needs, as well as delivering emotional support to victims of crime with Victim Support.
With a first-class degree in Psychology and as a graduate member of the British Psychological Society and registered hypnotherapist, Georgina delivers personal support and psychological solutions to help people in the corporate environment fulfil their potential in an increasingly challenging world.
